Spectacular Stampbord

Well, another week has passed...where do the days go? I've been busy with a birthday and a wedding or two...but have still managed to squeeze some crafting in! I was really taken with a project in September's issue of Craft Stamper so decided to have a go... and here is the result!

Take one plain and simple pine framed mirror (from Ikea), some black acrylic paint, and an assortment of Stampbord pieces. Add a generous helping of Distress Inks in your favourite colours (blended with cut'n'dry foam), choose which stamps you'd like to use and stamp with black Staz-On - I used a selection from Inkadinkadoo, Personal Impressions, Tim Holtz, Graphicus, Hampton Arts. Then get a scraperfoil tool and etch highlights to add detail and depth. Finally, arrange the pieces on the frame and attach with PVA glue.

It was great fun and surprisingly, didn't take that long to complete.

Going for a Song

This weeks challenge over on Dottie's World is to create a card incorporating some song lyrics, so I thought I'd have a go...

I was going to make a 'footballer' George card anyway for a birthday next week - so I thought I'd make him 'Football Crazy'! Then I spotted the George and Dottie image and had to make the 'Raindrops keep falling...' card too! Both images are coloured with prismacolours then matted and layered onto assorted glitter card, bazzil, and patterned papers.

It's a Whimsical World!

More ATCs?.....yes, I'm afraid so.....this time they are bright and breezy, funky and whimsical people for another online swap! I got the chance to use my favourite colour palette of acid brights for this set......bringing a little sunshine to an otherwise dull and cloudy day.

Alice in GothicLand

While the rain's been pouring outside, I've been busy with some more ATCs inside. This time the theme was 'Gothic Alice in Wonderland'.......and what fun it was to work on. I used my prismas again with fineliner pen to outline.

Here Comes The Bride

Last week I was 'volunteered' to make a fimo bride and groom to top the wedding cake of some friends who are getting married in two weeks....and here's the happy couple....

It was great fun to do (although it wasn't all plain sailing and the groom lost his head at one point!)

I hope that my friends like it.....

Potty about Dottie

Dottie-Mania is sweeping the country....well, it's sweeping Silverdale!...and spurred on by Trace Dee's success in last weeks challenge I have made a Christmas Dottie card...yay!...I printed the image on semi-glossy card and coloured it in with prismacolours, then layered it on embossed card (Swiss Dots) and blue holographic card. Some snowflake brads and a sparkly message add the finishing touches.

Time....

Here are the cards I recieved in today's swap. They are all fab! Thankyou ladies for your hard work. Got to get thinking what to do for our new 'Travel' theme.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho,It's Off To Work I Go...

Well, my weeks holiday is over and I'm back at work today *sobs*. But it's not all bad because it's the first Monday of a new month and that means.....it's ATC swap day *yay!* August's theme was 'Time' and I can't wait to see what the CC group has come up with! I know I'm getting a Tardis off Trace Dee (super cool!) but have no idea what the other girls have done. If I'm not too knackered tonight I'll post a pic of the swaps.
