The Owl and the Pussycat...

My daughter Debbie and I have been itching to make 'stuffie' toys for a while now, and we finally had the time to sit down together this week and get crafting! Out came the felt scraps, buttons, stuffing and thread...and in a couple of hours we were the proud owners of an owl (mine) and a pussycat (Deb's).

Home is Where the Heart Is...

I bought this cute mini wire hanger at Port Sunlight last week and couldn't wait to make a 'whimsical' home decoration with it.

I covered some chipboard shapes with K and Co papers in duck-egg blue and embellished with MM metal corners, American Crafts flowers, PM buttons and some stamped and die-cut letters. The edges of the shapes are inked to add definition. Holes and eyelets were added with the Crop-a-Dile, and it was all tied together with some brown gingham ribbon.

I'm really pleased with the rustic feel of the piece....wish I had bought more hangers now!

Better Late Than Never!

I have been getting quite a lot of stick because I haven't blogged for a few weeks! In my defence, I have had PC problems...and what with work and family commitments, I just haven't had the time to share my thoughts and artwork with you all.

I have been busy with my ATCs and my first ever Circle Journal (see above pictures) over at AFA, and last weekend I had a fabulous day out at Port Sunlight for the Happy Stampers Show. I managed to stay on budget, and have stocked up on unmounted stamps and assorted items for altered art. Many thanks to all my mateys for making it a fun and enjoyable day!!!
