Facebook Wars

They say 'the devil makes work for idle hands...' in the case of me and my friends, he created Facebook! It's been all out war at work, bombarding each other with utterly useless, bizarre and downright disturbing FB gifts....in an attempt to lighten an otherwise hot, sticky and slow week! Who would have guessed that a tiny monkey, a pair of plastic pants and a scary clown phobia could bring such joy into our lives!

The Great Escape...

Well, the escape plans haven't progressed as quickly as we were hoping for but Sadie and I have recruited a couple more escapees at work. We plan to dig a connecting tunnel from the Craft Room across to the Houseplant section, where Diane will be in charge of disposing of the soil - due to her having the longest trousers and the ability to repot plants in bigger pots! A secondary tunnel will go out under the side of the building to the field where we'll tap into the pipework system and make our way to the nearest bus stop. We are waiting on Lyndon's return from visiting the allies (Vive La France!) as we require a pump in case of flooding. Meanwhile we wll continue to gather intelligence and confound those in authority.......

Artfest UK Rules!

Wow - what a fun weekend! Meeting up with some of the British (and Finnish!) members of AFA was SO MUCH FUN!!!! We had some great workshops organised - stamp carving, needle felting, crochet, jewellery making, dotee dolls and rolos..... and plenty of food and drink throughout our weekend at the Holiday Inn, Runcorn. It was great to finally put faces to names and make some new friends. There were goody bags and raffle prizes for everyone....I can't wait to start playing with my new supplies and put my newly-learnt skills into practice!

Countdown to Artfest UK...1 week to go!

Well, in 7 days I'll be at the Holiday Inn, Runcorn ready to get arty and crafty with my ATCs for All friends. We're having a fun filled weekend of craft workshops.... and plenty of food and drink!!! Can't wait........

Port Sunlight...woo hoo!

Had fun today at Port Sunny with Debs, Lynn, Christine and Lynsey.....saw Jan and Carol, Linda and Marg, Emma, and Carol while we were there.
Spent too much but sold 4 pendants so that made up for it! But happy to have some Sugar Nellie and Magnolia stamps at last. Maybe I'll post some pics when I've made something.
ATC trading was fun again - it's always nice to aquire some new artwork!
All in all it was a good day spent with my fav people :)

Still here!

Well....it's been 4 months since I last posted and, in case anybody was actually wondering....probably not however....I'm still alive and well, working hard, making art and baking muffins!

I've created a forum!

I've really enjoyed chatting with friends on Craft Central's forum, but I don't know how much longer it will be there now that the company has gone bust. So......I took a deep breath and decided to create my own forum so we can all stay in touch.
